ADMINISTRATION DELIVERS 106075 LITRES MILK, 771-KG CHEESE, 10866- KG CURD, 18348 -LITRES LASSI, 333-KG KHEER AND 6291 QUINTAL VEGETABLES AND FRUITS TO PEOPLE AT THEIR DOORSTEPS

Jalandhar, May 12 –   The district administration today supplied 106075 litres of milk and 6291 quintal vegetables and fruits to the people at their doorsteps amid the curfew imposed to fight Covid-19 pandemic.

Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, various teams of the Milkfed, Mandi Board and Food and Civil Supply departments were providing these essential commodities in every area of the district.

The teams of Milkfed headed by General Manager Mr Rupinder Singh Sekhon were covering maximum households in the district with supply of Milk and other products.

As per the details, the teams of Milkfed provided around 106075 litres of milk to the people of the district besides, 771-kg cheese, 10866-kg curd, 18348-litre lassi and 333-kg kheer through its dealers in every locality.

The teams of Mandi Board led by DMO Mr Davinder Singh Kainth also supplied 6291 quintal vegetables and fruits to the people.

Similarly, the teams of Food and Civil Supply led by District Food and Civil Supply Controller Mr Narinder Singh also ensured grocery and other products to the people through the teams.      

 Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma told the district administration was ensuring that people could not face any sort of problem in the getting the essential commodities in the curfew.
